just curious
I always thought that the gas/electric prices are linked to the cost of cruel oil. Over the last few months, the petrol prices have coming down quite a lot, but why the gas/electric prices are still high??

It's because the oil is so "cruel"...it's crude oil

Its because they lock in contracts for long periods at a time apparently they all locked in at a high price in the summer. Not sure how true this is.

That dodgy Martin MSE fella was on GMTV this morning going on about this.

He reckons they will come down in the next few months so don't do any switching of suppliers yet until all companies have reduced the prices.

always the same , drop prices in summer when we ever hardly use gas or elecy and bump them up sky high when its winter when we need them most :x

Not only are they not dropping their prices, they are putting up the direct debit I pay even though I'm in credit with my gas by about 80.00! N-Power are Carp!

Yes , I had problems with N-Power ,so ,I ditched them for Scotish Power . So ,much better I think .
I've just had my lecky meter read so my due bill will reflect the high prices .
