after the fever pitch of excitement my youngest daughter worked herself into before we went to disney in april,I told her brothers and sisters not to tell her that we were going back again in october.

of course, they seem to find some humour in winding her up so told her-for the last 8 days, she wakes up,shouts "yay-we going to mickeyland!",we let her down gently, tell her we are going soon, then she wants to look at all the pics from the last visit, goes to sleep at nightime with her cuddly minnie mouse, wakes up next day-"yay" etc.etc.-we gonna be demented by october!!! aagh!!

LMAO!!!! We are going through the same with our 4 year old...... and have been for over a year! We are going to Rhodes on 30th Sept to get married, we booked it over a year ago and stupidly told our sone he would be going on an aeroplane for the first time, showed him pics etc etc. Now every morning + a few times a day its " not long til holidays now mam isnt it not, just one more sleep" or " we're going on holidays in the morning arnt we mam" etc etc etc....... only 40 more sleeps thank the lord!
Now disney land, wow, i can imagine thats a million times worse!!!!!

Hehe I have the same with my 2 too. Always counting down their sleeps until something. It's my youngest that's the hardest to deal with though she's 3 and counting down to a holiday that we haven't even booked. lol

She goes to bed and says only 1 more sleep then we are going on holiday - and then wakes in the morning and tries to pack her bag with her toys!

Might be a bit young, but worth a try - Get a calendar and draw a mickey face on the day you are going, every morning at the same time make a big deal of letting your daughter cross one of the days off and showing her the rest of them up until the mickey face.

We do this I print it off the web there's a good one where you can add a special day before printing - I'll try to find it.
