didnt even last 2 weeks with me before it wore off
still own it but don't play it
mainly due to lack of decent game available

They're worth the £170, They're much better too if you can connect it to the net. Games are more fun on multiplayer generally. especially Mario Kart.

I think it's great - especially if you have kids. I haven't got that many games and am not an avid gamer - if you are, prob best to get the PS3/Xbox 360. Best games on Wii are Wii Sports and Wii Fit.

As said - if you're well into games, go for something else but if you want fun factor, the wii is the thing.

true they are so cheap might aswell buy one as they are good for partys or for when friends are around after a few drinks
but if you want a games console get a ps3!

Who is your internet provider?

I agree its a gimmick. Since getting one ive only played it a handful of times.

You mean xbox 360.
Wouldn't go around recommending a bluray player as a games console.

If, like you say, you are not a serious gamer, then you should get a Wii over the other consoles.

It is much more fun with internet connection, though - like with Mario Kart.

We have recently bought a PS3 and no-one plays it - even Little Big Planet and Buzz TV which I was DYING for :giggle:

good for kids but i prefer my ps3, dont even touch the wii unless im doing bowling or boxing with the little one

I have an xbox 360 and ps3 and I did (and still do) use my ps3 more even before the xbox 360 rrod. The Wii has certain appeal but the ps3 is a great machine and I imagine you might get more long term enjoyment out of it.

The wii is a great console if you're into multiplayer activity. It's a hoot to play with when the in-laws are visiting, or when the kids have friends round. Maybe it's not as 'serious' a playtoy as the PS3 or the XBox360, but it has a niche & I'm glad I bought mine:thumbsup:

We love our wii, hours of fun, we've had ours since May last year and still get loads of use out of it. Mario kart is essential but there is a lot of other good games to.

Star you are a woman?????

have a wii thats gathering dust - have about 40 games for it ;)
also bought wii fit ...used that recently for weighing a huge parcel to get the weight ...so does come in handy i suppose if you need to send items :P

OH bought a 360 12 days ago ...its still in the box next to the tele, along with several games and add on toys

When my kids visit our consoles get used, when its just us they are there to look pretty

i think my little lad is a bit too young yet, hes only 3, can play the ds but dont think he could master the wii. maybe i'll wait til hes older!
#19
Haven't used my wii or wii fit for 2 or 3 months...just too busy for it.

I bought one for x-mas and the whole family love it :)

You'd be surprised. A lot of the games are really simple.

We have had our Wii for 14 months and it is still going strong. We've had 20+ games and bought and sold on ebay.

It's like anything the novelty will wear off. It's a great coffee table game for when guests come round and also good family fun.

Buy it and enjoy it.

agree here, does the PS3 have any games? :whistling:

We are not really gamers, but we have used the wii a lot. Definitely worth the money IMO. We use it as a family and like the short games that you can play together.

Some of the single players are good, but its not really what the wii is about.

We got the wii fit and think the novelty of that does wear off quite quickly, although its good I wouldnt say it was worth the £

We rarely play the Wii anymore, it was fine for a few months, and was good fun! But the lack of games makes it very shortlived.... I far prefer my Xbox :)
