Wii balance board...

It is so frustrating that Nintendo have not given an indication as to whether they are planning on bringing out any games that support the Wii balance board.

The only games I know of are Family Ski and GI Jockey Wii. See the link in the first post for the item on Play and then click on the video on the page to see the young lad playing the game with the balance board. Surely you wouldnt wouldnt disrespect yourself by bobbing up and down on the board and then start whipping yourself with a nunchuk and a remote...would you!!?

Thats true. They need to bring out a game where you can walk as a character and do things like run etc using the board. Something like Resi Evil with a gun and balance board for movement is ideal. That might be where the Wii Jog comes in...

Does anyone actually play anything consistently on their wii? Seems to me like the biggest gimmick of the last ten years, it has like 10 mins of fun appeal imo, i dont know anyone who even uses theirs after the initial blast on wii sports, then there was the rush to get wii fit to shove under the sofa and never use. Now they are bringing out a new controller that is supposedly more sensitive than the original (more ££ to shell out) and a daft 'wii jog' . (even more ££)

When the 360 motion thing releases i see the wii taking a nose dive as it has no games just limited novelty.

Couldnt disagree more. The most popular games (probably) ever have been the Nintendo franchises and the Sega franchises of Mario and Sonic. These will never go over to a console like 360.

I spend so much time on my Wii and I used to favour the button bashing of the Playstations etc and then bought and Wii and I doubt I will ever go back to a controller console. The Wii does have great games like Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, Resident Evil etc.

Any link info for the 360 motion thingybobby?!

The very best of luck with the cash...but justification surely is that it looks immense fun!

Remember we have wii jog released next month that will sense your middle body movement too. So with the balance board, a miimote in either hand and the job, I'm waiting for the game that senses your whole body movement. :-D

That, in my opinion, is the next breakthrough in gaming. It will happen.

It takes a while to actually win as you need to learn the tracks like the back of your hand but its an awesome feeling when you do win!! I love Mario Kart so much. Mario is the best ever game character by a distance!!
