Wii Fit connected to a pc?

Anyone done this yet?

Can't find anything on google about it, I assume it's possible as it surely uses bluetooth same as the wiimote?

Not sure what games it would suit yet but I'm sure it would be quite useful to use connected to a pc.

Also, what are your thoughts on virtual reality using wiimotes? Imagine playing GTA and having a wiimote in your pocket so everywhere you want to go you've got to run to get there, and if you want to drive you pick up your other wii mote and sit in a chair and use your wiimote in a wheel for driving, and then when you want to shoot someone you pick up your other wiimote attached to a gun and just shoot them.

Virtual reality on everyone's doorstep now??

You can actually use the Wiimote with a PC using some third party drivers, there are videos of this on youtube but i think it will take a while before home brew wii-fit drivers surface since it hasn't been out that long.

Yep, I assume that the wii fit runs on the same sort of system and therefore should be quite easy. Would be great to use it with the same sort of games but obviously with far better graphics on the pc.

What do you think about the rest of the stuff about virtual reality?

What about the jogging game but you actually run on a treadmill so you're getting a proper workout too. You could connect them via the net so you could go on a jog with your mate anywhere in the world together. Just set your treadmills to the same speed and hope your mate isn't cheating!

You could use the wiimote for any sport like this, stick one on your leg on an excercise bike and you could ride anywhere virtually on the pc. Stick it to a rowing machine and race other people on the internet!

I'm still waiting for the GTA-esque game that downloads real maps of the internet and converts them into levels. GTA is all well and good but imagine it actually mapped your home town, your own neighbourhood, your street etc etc. Then make it MMO and you would have an awesome game...

I've been thinking along those lines too.

I'd love to race around the local streets in a sports car but I wouldn't even if I had one, but it'd be great to do it virtually. How difficult can it be to get the info from google earth and make it a track on need for speed or something?

Maybe people don't as it might encourage people to race around real streets, I guess there needs to be a boundary somewhere.
