wii game recommendations?

Can anyone recommend any wii games for my dad please? I've got him a console for his birthday which came with wii sports and would like to get him more.
It will all be very new to him so ones that will get him used to the wii would be good.
Of the sports game, I know he'll love the bowling and probably the tennis games.
I've thought of something like wii play, with the extra controller, but it seems quite expensive now, probably because its so old!
Nothing too flash that needs the motion plus at the moment, cheap and cheerful is best! Also something with either quick deliver, or that I can pick up instore, as his birthday is on thursday!
Thanks in advance!

tbh, most wii games are rubbish, wii play being one of them

wii sports resort is good

most people with a wii only use them as dust collectors

I use mine with the kids quite a lot, and I think my dad will get a lot of use out of it. I realise they aren't for hardcore gamers which is fair enough, I've certainly no interest in playing shoot em up games, I'd rather play family trainer or just dance with the kids.
I've looked at choices but a lot of them are out of stock. I'm looking for things such as fishing, darts, or maybe a crazy golf game?

PES (pro evolution soccer) is a great game on the wii and Grand slam tennis is the best tennis game ever. Tiger woods golf (PGA11) is also excellent.

Wii play is good to start you off & get use dto the controllers - my kids still play it now esp the fishing & target shooting ones. Wii party is supposed to be really good too with lots of mini games though it is impossible to find with the 'free' controller at the moment - haven't played it yet though. Mario Kart is always a classic for everyone.

Does he have a special interest or hobby that a game could be connected to ?

I've just bought a cheap copy of wii carnival on ebay, one for him to play with the grandkids! I'd love a darts game for him, shame 'bullseye' isn't out, he'd have loved that one!

Wii carnival has a darts game where you throw darts at balloons to pop them, so bet he will enjoy that :)
