hi - you can buy wii points vouchers from the highstreet or online, about £12-14 for 2000,
or you can register at clubnintendo.eu and convert your wii stars into points, you get wii stars in the games (comes like a scratch card with a code you enter online) and you can get them in the wii console box too.
But you need lots of these to get a decent amount of points.
Mario kart wii is about 1000 points
super mario world is about 700 points.
cheers.

Wii points are used to buy downloadable content for the Wii online. You can use them to buy extra channels such as the Internet Channel (500 points), WiiWare (small games made exclusively for the Wii), or Virtual Console games (games from older consoles that are emulated on the Wii).

Generally speaking NES games are 500 points, SNES games are 800 points and N64 games are 1000 points, although there are a few exceptions. The only Mario Kart available is the N64 version for 1000 points, but if you're getting a Wii I'd highly recommend Mario Kart Wii with a couple of steering wheels because it really is the best Mario Kart game ever! Even if you don't like the wheels you can still play with the regular Wii controllers, or a Gamecube or Classic controller.

You can buy Wii points on the Wii console itself using a credit card. Last time I checked it was £6.99 for 1000 points, or you can buy points in shops, which will give you a card with a number on to type into your Wii. In stores you'll typically find 2000 Wii points for £13.99, although I'm sure you could shop around and beat that by a couple of quid. Super Mario World, as its a SNES game, will cost 800 points, which works out at £5.59.

There's a list of all the Virtual Console games available in Europe, and prices, here:
