Wii Shortage? - Christmas 2008 (Again?)

Was hunting a few Wii's for friends and family last year but had no success at all.

I want to buy in advance this year, have not done so yet and on low of cash right now so it might be a few months before I start hunting for the Wii again for the people I let down last year!

I don't think it will be as bad as last year and I need to get more than one, don't want to end up paying double the price for one, that'll mean I'm still letting down more people!

What do you people think? Will it be a hard to get item again before Christmas? Should I be looking to get one soon even if I aint got the money  or will I be fine sitting around until end of October to buy a few when I expect to have some money to buy the items?

Theres loads around right now, just thought I'd ask on here for peoples opinions.

well nintendo supposably hold back stock on purpose so demand is always there. At the moment Wii's are freely available and wii fits are just stating to be in tsock more. At the moment you can get some quite good deals on them where as last xmas you couldnt get them for love or money and if you could no good deals. I would leave it a little bit longer til everywhere is offering good deals and then you get longer on warranty because if you buy them now you will be losing nearly 5 months on the warranty. Also big name places are starting the good deals - ie - game / toys r us etc all got good deals atm so hold out a bit if i was you. Good luck!!!

possibly worthwhile to wait for the Christmas bundles and a possible price decrease.

Who can predict the future.
If you can get one now then do it.
A bird in the hand and all that.

If there is a shortage, wouldn't it be hard to get one then even if the deals are wicked :?

Apologies for my remark earlier! Didn't mean it to sound as offensive as it did.

My bum is a bit sore from the infraction I received as well lol.

Sorry!
