PS3. Region free, plays blu ray. Games are amazing. Free wireless, and free online gaming. Need I say more.

The Wii is good if y ou have alot of friends and like playing with family etc. Xbox is good for cheap games as they have alot of selection

I get bored with the wii, and just prefer the way the xbox menu is laid out, also the xbox live, I know you get to go on the internet free with the ps3 and play online free. I just use my ps3 for watching films

Defo 360. Plenty of games to play and you dont get forced to buy into blu-ray.

I have all 3 too and for all the family I would say the Wii. It is just so different my 4 year old plays it and so does my father at 60. One for all the family. It is also a very good price. We bought a lot of games and the favourite by far is wii sports and mario and sonic at the olympics.

My OH would probably say xbox 360 as he thinks it has good graphics, lots of games and project gotham racing 4

PS3 doesn't have as many games. Although is does play blu-ray high def dvds without the need for a standalone hddvd player like the xbox 360

Hope this helps

That says alot doesnt it. This is an unbiased forum but majority rules i guess. Still a lot of sony fanboys here though.

I must vote PS3 to the end!

Games people say not many, not great etc etc but new consoles start somewhere and the games build, i wouldnt say there is a lack of games at all, i have a good few at least 6 and there is a load more i want as well, tbh by the time i get thru the ones i have there will be plenty new ones out.

The graphics are good, always noticed plenty on the online gaming side, free online gaming, the sixasis holds a fab charge, you can network it to your pc/laptop etc, you can turn it into a pc type system if you wished. The list is endless i could go on for an age regarding ps3, i just love it to death lol

Haha, Ok. I have owned 3 consoles. And two of the handhelds. I always state which three have the best parts. Xbox has alot of games, ps3 has free multiplayer etc.

But alot of people on here just go "Xbox all the way" and don't give reasons why

ps3 - above reasons

I have all three, so like to think I'll be less bias than most.

The first thing to realise is that no matter what console you get you'll inevitably be missing out on something. ''What you're missing out on'', is usually the ammunition of fanboys. What you should be looking at is what you get with each console.

The 360 is the console I play the most because I've had that the longest. However recently I've became a bit bored with it (no internet at university). But with Grand Theft Auto 4 coming out, it will definitely not be shut out for long (Exclusive episodic content for the 360, as apposed to buying the PS3 version).

Recently I picked up my Wii again. Its usual time to shine is 4am, crawling in, for some wii sports with flat mates. Which it is brilliant for. Though I started playing Resident Evil 4 again and just can't seem to stop playing.

The most recent addition to my collection is the PS3, which is growing on me. I'm currently enjoying playing some of the games I can't play with the 360. The novelty of it being new might wear off. I doubt it though with games like Haze and MGS4 shaping up quite well.

TL;DR There is no 'right' and 'wrong' choice.

Couldn't have said it better. It souly depends on what you are looking for. Its harsh times when you have one console, but they decide to make a game console exclusive for a console you don't have, so then you are tempted to get that console just for that game. This is why they make seperate consoles, I doubt we will ever see a universal console that plays anygame anytime soon

Ps3.......!
#18
ive had every console likes and dislikes on both
#19
I wouldn't get a wii, you'll soon get bored of it.
360 for me
#20
I only have a 360 so im saying that but that is a biased view but im heavily into gaming so will give my views

360
Includes achievement system and superior online survices to date
Is getting more and more exclusives and has a few like Halo and Gears (although i am not a fan of halo tbh)
However has many hardware failures which are being resolved slowly
No blu ray although there are rumours of a blu ray player much like the HDDVD add on

PS3
From what ive seen probably offers the best graphics
Has one exclusives like MGS4 and Haze
sleeker appearance (although not a reason to buy a console)
Is said to be adopting its own Entitlement system to compete with achievements
However online not as vast as 360 with chat and friends lists etc.
More Pricey
I have heard its backwards compatibility reults in PS2 games looking worse than on a PS2

Wii
Should not be directly compared to the other two as is in its own market for casual gamers
Is the most unique console out of the three which appeals to all players
Offers many different styles of game to the other consoles such as wii fit but does have lots of the same game out i remember looking into buying one and seeing 3 darts games or something like that
Graphics are quite poor but is not a cnsole for graphics

Sorry if i repeated anyone elses points and I hope that helps a little bit

jackx289 I agree with everything you said ,apart from where you said the ps3 has better graphics than the 360. I have not seen any evidence to say that either one is superior to the other (having said that, many of the multiplatform games mostly end up looking better on the 360). Also, you imply that the ps3 looks better than the 360, but that's a matter of opinion, and I wouldn't have it next to my TV, far too overwhelming.

The Wii is great for kids and spending time as a family but if you don't have kids the novelty wears off great idea but up to potential yet though.
