I would say so. I think that would be about the space I have in front of the sensor now due to sofa.

I do find the Kinect adventures a really annoying game as everytime a kid walks in front it instantly loses body connection!
I have the Zumba game which I think is great, also if a kid walks in front it doesnt lose body connection either. Need to get more games though really :)

4 feet across! surely not as you wont even be able to stretch your arms out fully unless you are 10 years old lol

as I thought:-

Make sure that the play space is at least 6 feet (1.8 m) wide and not wider or longer than 12 feet (3.6 m).
