It's not a fault, the battery doesn't last very long in any iPhone. Mine lasts 2 days if I just use it as a phone (calls/texts) but if I do anything else (applications/browsing etc) it lasts 1 day.

Hmm might ring them before actually going in

Yeah, my 3GS lasts the same.

A replacement will only be the same again.

The problem is that you use an iPhone more than a normal phone.

I used to think the battery was pants compare to my n95, but when I thought about it, if I ever used to do lots of browsing (which wasn't easy on the n95) the battery would run out just as fast.

You think about how many times you poke the screen on your iphne compared to a normal phone

You need to turn down brightness, turn off location services, turn off push notifications and turn off 3G when you are not using it. Dont keep apps which you do not use.

Good advice that has been mentioned is . .

Turn down the brightness

turn things like bluetooth off

If you have 3G on, and wireless in the places you are in the most, use wifi, because it is quicker and will in the long run use less power than 3G.

I would say that apple will be quite strict with battery etc, but I have a little trick for you.

Put a ringtone on the phone (custom ringtone) , and turn it up loud, the speaker will start to buzz!! Then take the ringtone off and take it in with a buzzing speaker!!

My battery is poop too.

Does anyone know why I can't bluetooth my contacts in old phone (pixon) to iphone.

Can only find my iphone on my pixon if I have the bluetooth screen up on iphone.

Am I doing something wrong??

No it's because the iPhone does not have "proper" bluetooth for file sharing. It is used for Headsets etc.

Thanks again for the info mate, have done them things :-D

However i don't think i want to risk breaking the iPhone aha.. the battery is better than i expected as i have listened to 2 hours of pod, played apps, text and browsed the web today and i still haven't hit red. Rep+

I was reading earlier that jailbreaking the iPhone will drain it VERY quickly.. Won;t be doing that then.

Thanks for all the info.

At the end of the day, I dont mind sacrificing the battery for owning the best phone in the world!!

You enjoy it, dont jailbreak it, not worth it in my op.

jailbreak it mate.
It does no damage and can always be put back to normal using apple itunes, simples.

1 click jailbreak now as well with blackra1n, and everything you want for free
