Has anyone used a provisional license to fly on Ryanair to Ireland?

Its for my cousin who will be flying from London to Shannon.

He has spoken to Ryanair and they said its ok - Could he request confirmation of this in writing?

Because everyone must have experienced - Someone says something while the other says different.

Google is no use on this one give me conflicting answers

do provisional licences have photos on them? if they do I reckon they are fine-if no photo it wont be accepted. ryanair only accept photo id.

I might be wrong, but Ireland isn't part of the UK so do you not still need a passport to go there? I'd phone up again and check if I were you...

Both me and my Cousin have called them

My cousin spoke to them twice and they all said you can travel on a Provisional aslong as you use the airport check in option.
