Microsoft Security Essentials or something like AVG?

Previously had AVG 8.5 (Full version) which I think I previously downloaded from a link on hotukdeals.

Also.......I installed Windows Office 2007, but cant update the Microsoft software as it keeps saying that Im not logged in as an Administrator. No matter what I do????

Does Vuze and Peerguardian work OK on Windows 7?

I use Avira, works fine on 7 but there's an annoying popup on the free version (though you can disable this if you google it). I had some trouble in the 7 beta versions with Avast but I think it's OK now. Also, Avira is supposed to be better it finding virii that are new and perhaps not found by some other scanners (although this also leads to more false-positives). At the end of the day, you can't go wrong with either and as long as you're careful you should be fine.

Also read a few stories of Vuze not working right on 7, or some plugins not working fully. Others say it does though, you could always try another BitTorrent client like uTorrent if it doesn't work. Peerguardian should work OK as there is an official release stating support for Windows 7.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials on my new win7 pc after AVG missed a virus that destroyed my laptop.

No idea if MSE would have misseed it too of course but hey ho - thought it was time for a change.
