I have downloaded the Windows 7 student upgrade from the Digital River download manager. However, when I come to extract the download it progresses all the was through the extraction to then tell me that it cannot write to the folder that the installation was downloaded to and to check the folder settings. I have checked the setting and tried re-extracting several times in several locations but I am not having any joy.

I am running XP SP3 32bit and I am attempting to extract Windows 7 Pro 64Bit

Thanks

Just a guess this. Are you trying to extract it to a drive that has been formatted to FAT or FAT32? If so, then you'll have to extract to an NTFS drive because of the file size limitations of the FAT system.

Its an NTFS im extracting to. I've found out its a problem from within the package and not just me.
