How do I get it back

I had an OEM version of Office 2007, I have a product key, but no disc.

I have tried downloading the trial version of the file from microsoft but get a error every time I try to load it, as officeLR.cab file is corrupt or missing.

Please help

no such thing as an OEM version of Office 2007

They install 30 day trial on some computers

ah right, I only paid £14 for mine from work never looked at cheaper alternatives.

"The OEM version is intended for system builders, and requires a pre-installed Office Image from the OPK kit."

Get reading :) I think your key won't work with any other version you try to download as XP OEM keys were locked to the specific manufacturer disc image (I speak from experience).

this is what you need to do

but you'll need to know a bit about computers to do this.

Same here, I got mine cheap through work

OP you're probably best asking a friend to borrow their copy of Office 2007 if not then download a copy of Office via torrent (but beware of viruses)

Or if you need a quick fix until you can get Office 07 you could always try Openoffice a freebie, just as good as Office 07 :)

Not if you use office a lot it definitely isn't.

Is office 2010 beta still not available? That would keep you going till Oct

OOo, :o thank you all for such a quick response.

It was a trial version I think that they gave me an option for 60 days, but a deal with the PC came with office and PC world just gave me an OEM product ket pack thingy (I gotta say I dont really know the full ins and outs)

I know about open office being as good, however I have paid good money for Microsoft Office 2007 and dont really want it going to waste as I quite like my macros working the way they do.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your help. I will rep in due course x

How old is the computer, I take it the upgrade was part of the offer? Perhaps going back to where you bought the PC and see what they say.
