Can anyone give me some tech info here?
I've got 3 computers & 2 360s connected through a wired router and all works well, I'd now like to be able to wirelessly connect my Wii, DSi and ipod touch, would this do the trick
http://www.hercules.com/us/wifi/bdd/p/33/hercules-wifi-usb-transmitter-hwgusb2-54v2-ap-/
or is there anything better.
I'm connected through Virgin and don't really want to change my existing wired set up as it works well but really would like to add these.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

why don't you just get a wireless router instead?

But wouldn't I then have to buy adapters for the other computers and 360s?

No has 4 ethernet ports usually and wi-fi!

OK so do I keep my wired connections through this router and the wireless ones would be picked up by the dsi wii & touch?

Try ringing up virgin asking for one they should have given you one in the first place!

Or...

have a look round...alot of people have netgears and check amazon which has some reviews on them. But a decent one would set you back about £50.

The other cheaper option is go and an auction site and look for ones that ISP's give out such as a Thomson (which i have) managed to unlock as well which is just as good as the netgear ones.

good advice from Met-Cast there:thumbsup:

I also have virgin internet, and they gave me a free wireless router. Its a netgear 54g router.
If you have 20mb or greater internet speed, they will give yuo the 'N' version router, which is much faster, and also has greater range.
I have friends who got this model free. It is rated at up to 300mbps wireless speed, and may be more suited to what you're trying to do.

Go on, ask them, I'll be surprised if they say no.
