Was on the internet using my laptop last night (Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 23L) connected through the in built wireless card. Opened the laptop this morning and the wireless card is no longer working. There is an on/off switch for the card on the front of the laptop, which is normally backlight but isnt at the minute. Im not all that screwed on when it comes to computers so wondering if anyone has any idea's/expierience of this and can push me in the right direction so i can get rid of this bloody ethernet cable!
Any help appreciated, Adam.

I had this problem with a netbook. I found this advice on Google and it worked for me. Turn off the laptop, remove the battery, replace the battery and make sure it is locked in, restart the laptop. It isn't brand specific because the advice was for a different machine than mine. Why it worked? That's another question.

I find if something like that happens, Restore to an earlier time. That may work. Good luck.
