depends what OS you are using to what is supported but generally WPA is a minmum and WPA2 preffered

WPA2 if you do not intend to use mobiles spare laptops etc.. Higher encryption

yup WPA2 or if you have to WPA\WPA2 - try WPA2 first and if you find an old laptop or a PDA or phone or something doesn't work change down and try it again.

Avoiding WEP is the main objective.
