If your looking to watch sky in another room from the same box you need to do the following:

Run a coxial cable from your existing Sky box to the 2nd TV set via the RF-Out socket (Argos- 15m cable kit £5.99) as a example.

By a MagicEye which will plug between the cable and your 2nd TV set and enable you to change the channel from the 2nd TV set.
These are widley avaliable from eBay and cost around £5 including postage which is where I got mine.

This is what I have for my Sky+, but also purchased a 2nd remote again from eBay for around £10-£15.
If your running the cable for a long distance you might need a signal booster box that is MagicEye compatiable.

Maplin, Currys etc.. also do this stuff but for the Eye and Remote "Buy It Now" on eBay is a lot cheaper.

They are called av senders. You can get them from argos too prices start at £27.99

added name to picture
B&Q do some that look a little bit nicer and more can be added.only problem with these is taht you cant watch different programmes at the same time.would it not be worth while getting an extra box installed.

Plus these can be used for any scart socket so you can transmit your dvd player/freeview box upstairs aswell.

I brought these from Maplins as wanted wireless and took them back the next day.

I tried these and another set that was about £55 and on the one above I didnt get a picture and on the other the picture was terrible.

Guessing there are some better ones out there but I havn't seen them!

Opps look like I got confused, :?
Are you just wanting to change the Sky Channel from another room?

the picture would vary depending on the distance between the transmittor and receivor and also whats in between them i.e 3 solid walls is going to block the signal more than 3 plasterboard walls are, wired using the magiceye is a millions times better for picture quality though.

Yep, I know likewise depending on what else you have running in your house and the amoun of steelwork etc... Just saying I have personal experience of them and they were not good at sending a picture.

I also tried sending the pic across a 12ft room and it was poor

Anyway looks like the OP is trying to do something different so I have no value to add here.
