i think it depends on age.
for 18-30 year olds

i think 6 is on skinny end but acceptable
8-10 is nice
12 is on the larger end imo well maybe 14 is larger end

for me the BIGGEST turn off is a woman that obsesses over her weight.

if a woman is a little larger but works it well and is confident then the curves are a plus. but if shes wearing baggy clothes n being a super bore then....

personality comes before size in the dictionary :)

I am happy when I can get my shapely bum into a size 12 and my upper half in a size 10.

I hate getting any bigger and make a big effort to stay the same size.

i have been an 8 for 2 years after being ALOT bigger...prefer being this size but find more people are ignorant to skinnies ...im sick of people commenting on what im eating(do you ever eat??...yeah just not crap like your stuffing into your gob)...its rude and no one said to me when i was fat "do you really need those chips!"..... or comments like "your really skinny in those jeans "...no one ever said "god your a bit of a hefer in those shiny leggings arent ya!!!".

yeah but do you worry about getting a little overweight again? and do you let your man know?

one of my ex's was a little overweight when she went to college(like size 12), then lost loads in uni (down to size 6)

then when i met her she was a nice 8/10 but she obsessed about going down to size 6 (my previous ex being a natural 6 didnt help as we still talk) so she would constantly come up with these diet plans and fitness regimes which never worked and it was soooo boring to listen to. then she would give up and put even moaar weight on!

at the start i would be really supportive (i even became vegan with her.... i did it for 18 months she did it for like 3weeks! i had to stop as i was losing too much weight) but in the end i stopped listening and ended up breaking up with her.

imo you should be your natural weight and be happy. not worry about being someone you're not.

Do you no what really hacks me off, is this whole thing your not a real women unless your in plus sizes, this whole media thing where "curvy" actually means overweight.

Most of my family are what I would call curvy in the real sense, they have boobs, bum etc, but are very slim around an 8, but they get abuse for being to skinny, when they are fine. Not real women apparantely.

Me, myself, I chucked on some weight after having kids, getting older etc, but I am comfortably a size 12, but then I am also a bit taller than my mum and sisters, to me this is a comfortable size after having kids, ok BMI, slim and healthy with a some ample curves.

I have been a 16 before, after pregnancies the so called start of the "real women" sizes and I was overweight, bloated and in poor health, I can't imagine it being good long term tbh.

It's a bit cross point for me, I really don't like the whole fad the media now has for plus size models, and your not real unless you are overweight or plus size, whatever happeed to just being about right in the middle!?!?

I am happy as I am, really happy, but I find the bias is the other way larger>slim, that is not helped by the press, you are not a "real" woman unless you are larger now, wtf is all that about?

I agree with this ... i have been from a size 6 - 14. At a size 6 i was bony no curves and preety poorly alot... at a 14 i felt huge felt very slugish ... i am not a 10 and that is perfect for me . My sister in law is a 6 and that is perfect for her build... it all depends on the woman:)

no because it wouldnt be publicly polite even if they were thinking it, :oops:I think that too skinny is horrible as is too fat, and what that is varies from person to person some people can be a size 16 and still look healthy and not over weight others can look huge, some size 8's can look really skinny others look fab

I prefer "larger" women, theres something sensual about the soft fleshy curves, slim women are a turn off, I like cushion for my pushin!

Most of my gals have been between 16-24 size. Mmmmmmm

alot of my fellas family are a size 26 what really gets me is they always say they dont eat much and then you see them eating loads of cakes and thick lashing of buttered bread. one of his sisters was a size 12 and was frightened in following in there footsteps so has slimmed to a size 6/8.i am currently in a size 14 but feel uncomfortable but know its down to stuffing my face. i really dont understand why they make excuses up for being that big like saying they dont eat alot when really if you was to spend a week with them they do nothing but eat.

You only have to read this thread to realise that lol! But not all of us are like that, maybe people should not be so mean to each other and it wouldn't be such a flipping issue, as long as you're healthy who cares!

I think size 12 is ideal but again all depends on the woman on size of her other parts. Say a woman a size 12 waist but she got huge breasts, she might want a 16 in a dress and then it's all going be baggy on lower half.

I'm pretty much a 16 at moment, but only had a baby 4mths back, and I weighed 13stone when I found out I was pregnant, then when I had the baby,I was back down to 13stone within 3weeks,not sure how much weight I gained throughout in all,but know I gained about 7lbs about half way through pregnancy.
I'm now down to 12 stone at moment,so am happy I weigh 1 stone less than say Xmas before last.
I'm quite happy to get down to a size 14,I'm not sure if I was a size 12 or less that I look in proportion entirely.

in the last few years ive gone from a size 6 up to a 12, im now a 10-12, i feel better being the size i am now, althougth id love to have a flat tummy again but hey ho cant have everything

but when i was a size 6 my boobs were nearly the same size as they were when i was a size 12, and would often get comments from people inc ladies as to why i had a boob job lol, a lady i worked with back then even thought i was lying as she was so sure that no one at my tiny size would have big boobs like mine at the tiny 5ft size 6
i felt it was quite rude and i wouldnt have said that her boobs were big coz she was a fattie

i was constantly asked why dont i eat, coz i was skinny and seeing as i had an eating disorder when i was a kid wasnt nice even thou i ate loads!!!

anyhoo as i said im now a size 10-12 hopefully will be in a 10 all the time by the summer, ive lost most of my excess baby weight think theres less then 1/2 stone to go and just done it with healthy eating and i do a lot of running around if i wanted to i could go smaller but i dont want to and im happy the way i am

see this is me size 10-12 waist but i have to wear a 16/18 to go round my boobs, so the only dress type i can wear is a wrap dress otherwise it just looks a mess lol

last time i bought a bikini top in a shop i had to get the size 20 top and 10 bottoms (the top bit was still too small lol)

I think women tend to look their best when they are a size 10, and I think that size16+ is unhealthy.
I cannot understand why people like Gok Wan are trying to encourage people to be happy and stay a size 24 - it is bad for their health, and must be uncomfortable.

I had that EXACT problem, I have nice large boobs and jeez before kids as I was a small 8 people were convinced they were fake. Even now as a 12 I get snide remarks, they can't be real or your not a "real" woman, what because the Daily Mail says thats a size 18+

My sis is always accused of having fake boobs, just becasue she is tiny, with massive ones, it's how we are built, someone I know actually had surgery to correct it as she was so tiny, and hers were a 32"JJ.

your sister married? :-D
