Failing that there are plenty members on here trying to get hold of one you could do the nice thing and sell it them at retail price, make there xmas :)

Congratulations !!!:) ,Id stick it on eBay.You'll get top dollar for it.2 of my mates bough one earlier this year and were both well bored of it within a week (both have kids).Once the novelty of its gimmick controller wears off its not a great console IMO.They have both sold theirs. If not you could get hammered and have some fun with it at Xmas !!!.:santa:

I would recommend to Ebay/Auction it and anything that it sells for above the retail price goes to a charity of your choice, you could actually state this in the auction listing too.

Well done - if you do decide to ebay it - do take care - an awful lot of scammers would be interested in such a hard-to-find item!

Again, well done though!

If you do eBay it, make sure you only sell to a UK buyer (set it up in your preferences to block buyers from other countries) with a PayPal confirmed address and send it RM Special Delivery. Don't send it to any other than the confirmed address, even if the buyer begs you and offers you extra money to send to their son/daughter/father doing aid work in Nigeria!

Due to the value of the item, i am pretty concerned about Ebaying it - like people have said, there are plenty of scammers out there now. I think that it could just end up being another 5 minute wonder in our house to be honest. Cupboards and shelves are crammed with must-haves, and i can see the point of 'once the novelty wears off'. Interesting to read the different opinions though - thanks everyone

thanks for the advice - it gives me a benchmark for how much to sell it for. So far we have been offered an exchange by 2 other prizewinners to swap for a Tomtom or a Storage device, and had about 6 people today offering to buy it. The storage device sounds boring, and we've already got a tomtom. We are going to The Netherlands in Feb. so if we have changed our minds, we can get one there.

You win it at mess function?

well done Jelli no idea what to do with it though. I want one but know fine well it would get put away after about a week so never got one.

I think I would sell it to someone you know that wants one.

Ha - rumbled:thumbsup: - looks like Mr J has "sort of already said he could have it" :x when someone who wasn't a winner on Saturday offered him 220.00:roll: He said he's getting fed up with people tracking him down to ask if he was the same bloke who "won a Wii you are thinking of selling". I even had one of his bosses phone me at work, to ask if he could be considered !! It's actually getting laughable now:?
#25
Well done Jelli, if I was you I'd sell it to someone who wants one as jennybubbles suggested.
#26
first congrats - if you do not need it for a pressie I would sell it and put money away till new year when they will be readily available and then you can buy some accessories /game with the extra cash

:-( Okay - it's all over bar the exchange of Wii for cash. Husband phoned me at work, and said that he is going to sell it to the first person who asked for it. He said that the bloke offered him 200 initially, and then 220 when Mr J said that he wanted a storage device (220 is what it will cost) He is being inundated with emails at work from other people wanting it, so he said the easiest solution is to let the first 'bidder' have it - he has kids who wanted one, and it comes down to first come - first served. (he's got way to many principles for my liking!!
