Hi all, hope everyone is well.I was just wondering if anyone has been to Salou? Me and my partner are going for a week and staying at the hotel caribe. I was just wondering if anyone has stayed there or knew anyone who has? And maybe a few tip's on what to do while we are there x

Solou's great especially for families, Try going to Barcelona for day, When Me and my family went we went on an excursion, We went Nou Camp/Barcelona Zoo and Shopping in Barcelona.

Theirs also Port Aventura Theme park, We didn't go when we went but it looks good.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Hi

I stayed there this May and it is absolutely fabulous. The whole setting is just beautiful and the food is really nice. The a la carte restaurant is superb and you get vouchers from the hotel for this, can't remember what amount but it nearly covers all your meal. Well worth a visit.:)

You will have a fab time. If you have any more questions just let me know:thumbsup:

Went there last year took our little one to the nearby PortAventura had a good time. The only thing that spoilt it a little were the lager louts from the UK. :x

I agree it is worth a trip to Barcelona

went last year and stayed at El Paso, great resort, i saw the Caribe, its a little further away but there is a free tram. Salou itself i thought was pants but its each to their own really. Port Aventura was fab. You get fast track tickets with Caribe which saves you from having to queue on some of the rides. Would defo go back and do a trip to Barcelona instead of going into Salou.

Hope u have a good time

I have been to Salou a few times, I can recommend Port Aventura theme park it's really good there for adults & children. There is also a water park called Aquapolis which is great fun to. :)

We went a couple of years back - Salou is really nice.

If you like theme parks then Port Aventura is a couple of miles out the town and is brill. Worth booking tickets in advance if you want to go because they're much cheaper and savese time queueing at te gate. Great rides there - a 7 loop rollercoaster. Do a google on it because they do special offers online for tickets.

Good bars/pubs in Salou itself - the usual british-type pubs and some nice spanish ones. Good for shopping and tthey had a market in the street on friday I think.

The beach is nice and clean- loads to do there so you will have a ball.

I really didn't like Salou - not to my taste, a bit too English for my liking.

That said, the hotel you're staying at is well rated, I'm sure you'll have a good time.

Ive syayed in Salou a few times with the kids. Had a great time. If you want to do the trips dont do them with the reps, book direct with Plana i think they were called. They have booths in the main town. The trips were the same and half the price! We went on a few the second year and saved a few bob.

The theme park was good, but some off the rides were shut, so it maybe worth checking that out.

we borrowed tickets for port aventura from someone in the hotel. We went there on a saturday the park was really quiet and we went straight on all the big rides.
