FIREFIGHTERS were sent to rescue an iguana stuck 45ft up a tree only to find it was a GREEN BRANCH.
RSPCA officers called the brigade after calls from worried residents.
An animal rescue officer and an aerial ladder platform were dispatched to Cove, Hants.
The team were 25ft up when they realised the mistake.
Animal rescuer Colin Horwood said: The branch bore a striking resemblance to an iguana from the ground.
