Please help.
I need to work out % increases and decreases and cant remember the formula.
If i had 1000 and add 20% i have 1200.
1000 -1200 / 1000% = 16.66%.
Im lost.

bigger number-smaller one/ number it changed by then multiply by 100 ?

(1200-1000)/1000 X 100 = 20%
divide the difference by the original figure then times by 100

e.g. original 1000
increased amount 1200

1200-1000 gives you the difference of 200

200 divided by 1000 = 0.2

times 0.2 by 100 = 20%
(new amount - the original amount)/original amount* 100
