Yeah I got about £70 less on my Child tax credits........bit of a bummer as all that money pays my electricity, water, gas and tv license for the month usually!!

Mine went down by seven pounds this week but if you look on last years final letter it will tell you this. So it will be correct.

Yes you will have to fill in a form to confirm what you earnt last year, as it it what this years tax credits are based on. They will carry on regardless though.:)

Yeah we get paid weekly in England, not sure if you can change it for monthly? With child benefit I get paid monthly, but tax credits weekly (thankfully!) we get £23-odd a week as my partner works but I'm struggling to make ends meet on it!

I know how you feel, if I didn't have tax credits then I wouldn't be able to afford to pay any bills! Hopefully it all gets started soon what with the credit crunch :?

I get mine on a WEDS think it depends on when they process it. Yes you will have to fill in a form, your tax credits will be higher this year as they are based on last years earning. But give them an estimate for this year as come next April, they will be overpaying you, they can pay on an estimate of this year and it won't be so bad.
I hope that makes sense it's so complicated but this years TC are worked out on last years household income.

It's so complicated how they work it out, do you remember they did that thing where even top maths boffins couldn't work out how to find the answer!! lol I still think they c*** up everyone's entitlement (I'm hoping I got underpaid and they give me a lump sum lol)

you have to fill in a fresh form each year x x

we are in england and get tax credits monthly. our last payment was the usual amount.

havent had the forms sent out to us yet either.

i do my own taxes as i'm self employed.. havent received my tax stuff yet either..

not even received the water bill yet for this year tho i did call them and they said its on its way!
