It makes my blood boil.

Andrea Adams was a broadcaster and journalist.

She was the first person to publicize the significance of workplace bullying. It is believed that she coined the expression "workplace bullying" in 1988.

Her pioneering book, entitled Bullying at Work, was published in 1992.

She died from cancer in 1995. The Andrea Adams Trust, which campaigns against workplace bullying, was established in her memory.

Workplace bullying is a silent disease affecting millions of people throughout the UK.

Nobody is immune, so turning a blind eye or a deaf ear is no longer an option.

18.9 million Working days are lost to industry every year.

Workplace bullying should be on every employers agenda.

I had it at my workplace as they knew they could get away with it since the company kept on having people quit due to terrible pay, overwork, cancelling of days off.

In my case it was a girl 4 years younger as we worked in a call centre and she kept doing prank calls which I reported and she came up to me and grabbed me and threatened to beat me up there and then in full view of 10 other staff.

Reported it to the bosses who all they did was say to her "dont do it again" which made it worse.

Yet she made a complaint about me apparnly having bad hygeine as I came to work smelly.

Which was BS yet the boss's took me in a room and gave me a talk and spoke to me if I was a pre school kid so how was that worse than her bullying me?

They should get their priorities right

My friend Keith R.I.P. grandad died, then he was given a severe beating during a robbery at work and split up with his girlfriend because of the robbery.

The managers hounded him back to work, whilst he was suffering from depression.

He was robbed in May 2006 and returned to work in August, too soon.

Took his life on 12th October 2006, aged 35 year's, i think of him everyday.

I miss him, so much.

From what you've said, I think it is. Not in the way you mean though:whistling:

I know, unfortunately, if your face doesn't fit.

I was bullied by a man at work for about 2 years. He asked personal questions in front of students, had me pinned by the throat to a wall one day, he is 6ft 3 and I am 5ft1. I caught him tampering with A level grades I had set and changed one grade for a girl who he was supposedly sleeping with from a D to an A. I reported it to Managment and to the examining board and nothing was done. He made comments about me to students. He borrowed my keys one day to get them cut as he had lost his but opened my office and left it opened while I was on lunch and I came back to find some work missing, he then denied any knowledge of even borrowing my keys, he then tried to insinuate that I had stolen equipment in the past. I tried fighting him through the courts but by his time my marriage had broken down because of it, I was being violently ill, I was in hysterics every time 1 of 27 letters came from my work to my home while I was off sick and even though my solicitor said I had a foolproof case as I had documented everything and had photocopies she said it could take years to fight it and I wasn't strong enough and had been prescribed anti-depressants so I gae up. I just walked away and as much as I would like to urge everyone to fight and always said I would, sometimes for your health and sanity it is easier to walk away and not let it destroy you. Sorry for being so long winded
