I was looking at putting an accumulator on for the teams to top the each group in the world cup i looked on paddy power and there was an option for a seven fold and six fold etc or an accumulator can someone explain what this means ? If im betting on the 8 teams and i take the seven fold or six fold does that mean that i only need 6 or 7 of the bets to come in ?
Thanks for any help.

If you pick 8 teams & only want to bet 7 fold or 6 folds you will need to place 28 bets for 6 fold or 8 bets for 7 fold.

Check this link out to work out hoe many folds for how many teams you pick

if you make a selection of 8 teams and place an 8-fold that will be one bet and will only win if all selections are correct,
if you place a 7-fold, then the number of permutations of selecting 7 from the 8 teams:
1234567
1345678
1245678
1235678
1234678
1234578
1234568
2345678
and one more bet of 2345678
are the bets you make.
so yeah you only need 7 teams to win to win some bets.

Ok thats helped thank you both but how would i work out my returns ?

returns will be different depend who won.

lets use 4 selections, you do a 3 fold or a treble at £5. thats 4 bets and will cost you £20.
for calculating the returns just mutliply the odds of the winning bet by the stake.
say the individual odds are:
a:1.5
b:1.6
c:1.7
d:1.8
your bets/returns
abc £20.4
acd £22.95
bcd £25.48
abd £20.60
total potential returns £89.43
