I bought some Uggs through a thread on here, the shop I ordered them from is on the list of authorised online retailers on the Ugg website.
However, now I have received them, they are totally different from my other pairs. The fur is not as thick, the outside is smooth, whereas on my others it is more like a suede finish. Also the label inside is printed rather than embroidered and the sole has some plastic 'tags' on the edges where they haven't been finished off properly. And they are smaller and a much more snug fit. I would just send them back but it will cost me about £18 to return them via special delivery. Anyone got any ideas?

Difficult - but I would call up company with your concerns as I imagine they cost u a lot of money
#3

Look at the registered mark (a R that is circled) on the ugg lable is it above, below or in the middle of the ugg sign and check is with your other boots this should be in the same place. Sorry cant remember where mine is on my boots I think it should be in the middle.

I didn't really want to say, but if you look at other threads I've posted in, you might come across it!

You're allowed to say who it was:?

surely if they are faulty(i.e poor quality) the mysterious company should pay for the return

they could have been a previous customer return and someone swapped the originals for a pair of fakes
#9
It was mywardrobe

I've never heard of them but they are indeed on the list, how strange!

It was my-wardrobe.com.
I've just had another look at them compared to my others and on the back of the label instead of it saying "genuine leather upper, genuine sheepskin lining' it has the symbols and pictures. And they really smell strongly of plastic.

Sounds fake to me. Sorry

take some photos of them & email them to ugg australia saying that you bought them from an austhorised online store & tell them you think they are fake
#14
Contact the company and tell them you believe they are fake,if you get no joy contact UGG Australia themselves and air your concerns.

Here's a turn up. lol.
3) TAGS. Non-Deckers Uggs sometimes have uneven label stitching. Also, look on the labels for the manufacturing location. "Made in China" is Deckers; "Made in Australia," or anywhere else, is a fake.

My-Wardrobe is definitely a legit seller of designerwear, I have bought from there many a time. Like the advice given, contact them directly, I had an issue over an item not dispatched, the best customer service I have ever received!!
#18
Thanks for all the input, I have phoned them and have been asked to email them photos of the boots highlighting my concerns. They were very helpful and I feel a bit bad now staring this thread without contacting them first! Will expire it.

Are the labels in yours printed or embroidered?

 i think when you spend a lot of money for an item you want to make sure it's authentic so better to be safe than sorry

my grey ones with the old style sole are embroidered & my new chestnut ones from asos with the new style sole are printed

which soles do your ones from my wardobe have? :?
#24
They have the new soles. Considering how much Uggs have gone up in price in the last year, I would have expected improvements in their manufacture rather than anything else.

i guess they are trying to make subtle changes to the boots so that the fakes can be easier to identify :?
