I cant believe im asking this but i cant find the dimensions for this TV anywhere its the LG 32LH3000 32" (on sale at Currys atm).

I have a 2001 Vauxhall Corsa C would I get it in my boot?

Im not really expecting a serious answer to this but on the off chance someone has been in the same situation I will try anyway lol.

Don't know how big a Corsa boot is but it should fit on the back seats.

I can put my back seats down which gives me a lot more room.

Just really wanted to save the embarrassment of getting there and it not fitting.

I think it will, I purchased one last week and it didn't take up much space - had a apassenger in the back too (rover 25).

Hope this helps

if you put the back seats down then it should fit, i think my fella got a 40inch tv in his ford ka with the seats down.

That answers my question, a Ka is much smaller than my Corsa haha. Thats some achievement too.

Thanks guys.

You've probably already got your answer, but i got a 4ft pool table into the back of my corsa and the box was quite a bit bigger.

Not sure about converting feet into inches, but im sure it will fit.

Yeah it will fit. I was in the same situation with a 42" and a micra. Had to unbox it in the car park and just fit the tv in!

I've owned a 2002 Corsa (C version) & easily got my 42" Samsung Plasma in the boot with the backseats down & parcel shelf off! A 32" TV should be no problem to fit in ;-).

Just a word of advise - read the box before putting it in your car - some LCD TVs should be transported upright - i.e. in the installed orientation.

Having said that I got my 32" Sharp LCD / LED TV on the back seats of my BMW 1 series coupe and that only two seats in the back ! and it could be transported upright because that's what it said on the box !

you could always store it upright and pack empty boxes either side of it so there no movement

How are you going to watch it in your boot!!! would you not be better with one of the seat back tv's

You;ll probably have to take it out of it's box. I did this once to get one in my old Fiat Seicento (a really teeny car). You'll get odd looks in the car park, and there's generally nowhere to put the box, but it's what I did!!

Whatever you do - keep all of the packaging because

1. if you have to return it within a few days because of the fault the retailer will expect it back in its original packaging

2. Most manufactures will require you to send a TV back for any warranty repairs and this is best done in the original packaging

3. If you want to sell the TV a few years down the line it will be worth more if its in the original packaging - and easier to sell.

I read the same thing too, but once we got it home and unpacked the instructions to remove the base (so that we could wall mount it) was to lay it on its front and remove the screws.. strange
#17
are you going to dash mount it?

do you not have any friends? or do they all have horrible cars like yours? if it doesn't fit just get it picked up by someone else.

I completely misunderstood this thread. I thought it was by some rude boy who had watched too much "Pimp My Ride" and wanted to FIT a 32inch TV in his boot!
