Would this help to improve a old car?

£0.00 @
I own a 12 year old 206, the MPG isnt great and it is a tad noisy, but it is a 12 year old petrol car after all. Would (ebay number) 260407366630 actually work? Anyone else tried it before?

i doubt it, but still if you want to go that route you can get the lucas stuff cheaper
#2
what do you mean by "MPG isn't great"?
#3
Snake oil, better to just throw your money down the drain.
#4
why not spend the money on getting it fixed then if its noisy?
Are all the tyres pumped up correctly.
Air filter replaced?
Changed oil?

All these things can help to better the mpg(or at least get it to what it should be).

Is the exhaust blowing?

What do you mean ....noisy ?
Engine ? Exhaust ? other ?

One of my motors is a Vectra , R reg [ 1997] and still going strong , getting a little rusty now but still flys through it's MOT . One of the secrets is .......... regular maintainance . Oil filter ,Oil & Air filter are a must to improving mpg as already suggested . I do get a very good mpg ,probably because it's a diesel . It's starts first time in all weathers and very reliable .
I suggest a starting point is to buy a Haynes manual and read it and give your motor a good service .

its just general old car noises.

I replace, the oil and filters every 10k miles.

The exhuast was changed for the MOT. Its in pretty good condition and hasnt let me down really, bar one flat battery, always starts etc.

suchafunkymonkey - I mean like 35MPG, for a 1.4 petrol.

for a 1.4 206, 35MPG combined isn't that bad. I'm assuming its given you better previously? As other have said, oil & air filter changes will help if they haven't been done recently. You might want to check the condition of your exhaust as well.

The exhuast was changed in aug.

It is 35mpg on a run to work (25 miles), where there is a bit of traffic but mainly clear roads.

My company van is a 1.4diesel and only gets 45mpg and it's a year old and doesnt get taken over 70mph. I think you searching for something that isn't there.
