Without hesitation.

I really dont know, I wouldnt mind blood or something repairable but I see what I have as what makes me so I would have something taken away from me, though would get something back it wouldnt be the same so its down to the individual case of how I felt about them.
#6
of course!
#7
Sure would.
#8
No cos my children come first.
Does that sound harsh.
I would do it though if risk was low. I just feel my kids need me,which means i wouldnt put myself in a situation where I could die.
I know what im trying to say, not sure if its coming over properly though,

I think the risk of dying would be slightly more than high.
#10

No I get ya, I was thinking exactly the same thing, what would happen to your child if you both died?
#12
Every time.
#13
I think you're right nutta.
Now mine are grown up, I can say yes without hesitation , although I haven't got much that would be of use to him!!

It's a different matter when you have children, also how would you know the transplant would be a success, and your brown bread for nothing!!
#23
No, b'cos one should always look after number one, that way number one can look after everyone else.

I wouldnt beacause he b*g***d off over four years ago and never looked back lol ( if he can't pay his child support then he aint getting no kidney from me haha)BUT if I had a decent one and my boy was all grown up then...yup I would;-)
#25
What do you mean by high?

I'd happily donate a none essential organ without a second thought. I'm not obese or a smoker so operations aren't massively risky for me.

If it was 50:50 no way.

If it was 5% most likely yes.

As other posters have said my kiddies come first though. That also counts for the idea of seeing them lose their daddy if I could prevent it though.
#26
I really wish I could say yes but I am such a wuss with invasive medical procedures my inbuilt fear stops it even being a possibility.
Hats off to all those who do though.
#27
Unrealistic situation.

Transplants are low risk, otherwise they would not allow them to go ahead.

Would any of us hesitate if told we are a match for a relative...blood, bone marrow, kidney ?
banned#28
Nope and he wouldn't want me to.

Actually it's not unrealistic, what about fat smokers?

I wouldn't hesitate to give blood / bone marrow for a complete stranger. Hence I'm on the register. I'd love to be able to help save someones life.

Kidney. No, only for my nearest and dearest i.e. my immediate family, hubby, kids, mum, brother and sister

+1 kind off, I would try and get the mother in law to do it though, but saying that my lady has my heart (and wallet) so she can have anything else
#32
Not sure if I'm just being emotional here, but I think I would.:) He's brilliant with the kids, they'll be just fine.
#33
I'm to scared of dying so if it was a really high risk then no, when I think about it I reckon I would for my little boy.
Hope my girlfriend doesn't read this now.
#34
not been with my gyal long so no  but if i had and i love her i suppose so lol
#35
Why what's innit for me?!! Joking aside, without a doubt yes.
