Bought my daughter some clarks school shoes on jan 28th at a cost of £28.00,considering theres only 5 days in a school week and theyve had a week off for half term she hasnt had much wear from them.

The straps are velcro (molly shoes) one shoe is fine but the other shoe the velcro has weakened so much that when she walks it comes undone and the shoe falls off her foot

is it worth taking them back and complaining?

My sons does this too. I've had to take the fluff off the velcro part. You may have already tried that.

If the shoe is faulty and he hasn't outgrown them - then I would certainly take them back. Clarkes shoes cost enough money - they should last well!

theres no fluff on the velcro bit thats what i thought the problem was at first

Yes, I would take them back. Best to do it now before they get any worse also as you have only had them a couple of weeks you have every reason too. At the end of the day they are no longer "Fit for purpose"
Good luck

I get both my daughters shoes from Clarks as they are meant to be good quality. For the price they charge they need to be! £80 for 2 pairs!

i took my sons Clarks trainers back after they burst (only had them for two months) couldn't have been nicer. they gave me a new pair free, said that if they hadn't had the same ones i would have had to pay half price for a new pair. i didn't have a reciept

mardy - still write to h/o saying how efficient staff were - but reiterating the fault in shoe

they have to answer a letter instead of getting usual standard email

i got 30 voucher for 1st class stamp - not a bad return

i bought a pair of boots just before christmas for £80 from clarks. by january the seam up the back of the boot was coming open (on both boots in exact same place!) i took them back were the lady rang round every store possible to get me another pair the same bt she couldnt cos they had sold out. and because i didnt have my reciept she was gonna give me a credit note for the value they were last selling at, which was £23!. i told her that i didnt really fancy breaking in another pair and going through the whole blister thing again, ideally i just wanted them fixing. so she offerd to reimburse me for what the cobblers charged.......... only ended up costing £2 per boot! i still went back in and got my £4 back lol!

They (rightly) gave you no quibble exachange... before you post your letter shouldn't you see if this pair is going to do the same thing if it does then post the letter, if it doesn't then be happy no?!
