i mean members look for the OP a holiday or whatever item they desire, or help with a technical problem and the OP never retuns to say thanks/kiss my /etc
I mean i dont want undying thanks just a 'thanks' would be ok!
And i dont just mean when i respond i am seeing this all the time lately.

Yea, bugs me when you spend time trying to help someone and then they dont even respond and you dont know whether they have even bothered going back on the thread they made

i see what you mean sometimes this site really annoys me , i post a deal and it gets a few votes then the exact same deal is posted a few days later by a member who everyone likes and it gets realy hot that really pees me off , and you are right i see it all the time people helping others out and you dont even see a thankyou etc XXXX

loadsa times this happens. pooo people!

there is no way to do a quick thanks either which sucks....ie a thanks button...i mean the thumbs up button...what does it achieve? sometimes when ppl help me out i say thanks but feel they deserve the button to light up on their side iykwim!!! haha

yes totally agree
#11
Should have kept the rep but only let the op know about it.
#12
yeh i dont expect a lot but they dont even show they have gone back to look at the thread...
at least with rep we knew they had and it took a few seconds to do..
#13
I hear ya !! and i agree !!
#14
Thank you for posting this beautiful thread :)
#15
yes thank you for bringing this to attention, maybe admin will pick this up..

+1 for this.

I hate giving a thread avice and then not even seeing a response. Makes you less inclined to help next time. I always try to give a final reply if helped and then 'like' the post(s), which is the best you can do.

Absolutely agree with you all and it happens all the time. http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii78/chesso_photos/animated%20smilies/hukdviking2.gif

The most infuriating is when they actually do bother to post again, but don't thank you for the advice/time/effort you have put into answering the OP but instead reply to some other trivial and irrelevant post in the thread.

yep it annoys me too

Same here, and usually go back to the thread a couple of times after it has died off just to check that nobody has added a late comment

i always help where i can, if they dont say thanks it says more about them than it does about me, dont ever let it stop me helping again

yep you're right but thought it might be nice to remind some people. Thanks doesnt cost anything. I think its nice to actually conclude something..
i mean like thanks we went to such and such on hols in the end
or i bought this...

I think many just forget, as for new members they probably never find the thread again, it isnt the easiest place to maneuver around, having a thanks button would have worked so much better, but wasnt going to happen, i mean a like button, jeeze its like being at infants
