I thought everyone knew you only get 28 days to return an item before the option disappears from your order history!

This is why I would never buy anything electrical from play

if you don't know about play.com then its too bad

OP I'm no expert, but I'm sure you are covered for 12 months no matter what Play.com say.You have proof of the purchase with your bank & also if paid by Visa debit or a CC then you will also be covered.

It's not your problem or fault that the so-called "Red button" is missing lol.

Have you spoken to Play at all? I have always found Play easy for returns but never had to return an item after 4 months because of a fault. You need to speak to them not worry about a red button missing.

"Oh dear what a truly **** company, seriously is this what it has come to between us? I thought we were friends, I thought we were pals. I’ve bought so many nice items off you but now you have torn our relationship up in my face. I would be laughing if I wasn’t crying in my hands, sobbing with despair. I will sincerely miss your cheapish products. Good bye play…my ex friend."

Call them on their cheap UK based number. You'll find them listed on say no to 0870.com but keep hanging up and redailing until you get through to someone with a weird American accent, those people are a lot easier to deal with, no offence but those are the ones I actually receive help from

Why don't you just play it cheeky and buy a new one off of them, keep it and then return the broken one as the new one? Surely this has already crossed your mind as what they are doing is unethical so play their game. Only way you'll win

I agree, have done this a few times as returns procedure is not the best, but avoid play.com i say. Use to be a good companty to deal with

If you have sex with you're sister, the resulting inbred retard is guaranteed a job with Play Customer Services as long as it's dropped on its head a few times first. It's in their T&C's.

Well with companies you will always get people who have had a bad experience and those that will say "oh but I bought a teddy bear from Play, it came 5 days later and the shipping was free, they are great!"

A recently returned something small to Play and they dealt with the refund efficiently.

Then one time I order a £500 hifi system, and they use a crappy courier called HDN and the scumbags at the Swindon depot stole it. Refunded me but took a little while

Love the bit here:-

To go beyond what is expected from us is way too difficult especially when we have a policy in place to adhere.

I think people expect a 1 year warranty. Most of us know different from these shysters!
