Having purchased a replacement case from someone in the forum a couple of months back I decided to have a go at cutting up the one I replaced and see what I could come up with, current work in progress shots are below, have stuck the case on an old dead box so that it can be seen in a powered on state.
Have sprayed the internal exhaust fan green, added green fans to the back and also painted the case and face plate.
A window has been cut in the side and at some point I will get round to glazing it with some thin plastic I have aquired.

This is by no means a profesional job, I have been rather impatient with waiting for the paint to dry (as you can tel from the odd finger prints here and there, lol) and because I only bought a small tin of paint, if the end result 9once window is fitted) is pleasing, I shall sand it all down again and paint it properly, using a laqure to finsish it and stop the paint from coming off.

let me know what you think please.

Yeah, as I said, it is only a first attempt, when it gets redone it will have a much lighter and more luminous green to it, the can looked a lot brighter also, guess "Focus" wasnt the best place to go, but it was kind of an impulse purchase of paint :)

Paint is patchy.

yeah, it was runing out by the time I got round to the back of it, next time I think a larger tin of paint is required.

I pinched the idea off Baconsandwich, from the black one I bought off him.

Just as a little home project really, I was bored and thought "Why not have a go?"
When I was younger I always used to paint my pads for my consoles, I still have a metalic purple Master System pad round here somewhere that I done wen I was about 14, lol.

yeah, gotta love my Snes, although it has seen better days, I cut some of the legs on the security chip and another, to enable 60hz and region free it, but now certain games (Terranigma , Grrrr) wont work on it, so need to get another at some point, been trawling bootsales, but no joy so far.

Looks good, but I am pants at spraying normal colours, so flic paint would be a nightmare, although maybe worth a shot one day.

Yeah, if you happen to notice the PS1, you'll see it is Blue, it's a debug console, plays ANYTHING straight off, no need for any mods, special disca etc, and the out put sockets on the back are mad, has s-video out, phono out, all for the bargain price of £5 at a car boot a month ago :p
Havent got an old Grandstand, but I did have once :p have got most every other retro console worth having and a severely large collection of games.

Lol, it was a spray can, bu only managed a very liht coat over te actual case, as I had wasted most of the tin on the faceplate, thought I would get more from it tbh, but it has been a long while since I painted anything that way, so guess I will know for next time.

Am thinking that Sunday will be the day for trying to get the window cut in properly, but will have to sort out the paint and finish before I stick it in, and maybe have a look at cutting open the DVD drive to have it half see through or something, like I have seen on others?

Have finally got round to finishing it off this afternoon, thought I should cut out the corner piece I had left in and also decimate the DVD tray, as you can see from the pics, it's all a little bit green now :p

Ha ha ha ha, yeah, I decided to stick with the green in the end, just gave it another can of paint and then got some clear pint to seal it in.
MaybeI will gofr a Blue case next time, the shop had a nice "Harbour Blue" that I thought might be nice, and I bought some Blue fans from here a few weeks back, so that will be the next project, only thing is I can only have 1 360 running in he house at a time, lol. :P
