I have just been messing around with my sons 360. He's had it for nearly a year, and I am just trying to find out what it can, and can't do.

Is it possible to save photo's and videos we have on the PC to the hard drive?

Can you download demo's without having to either pay or use a free live 48 hour etc code like you can on the PS3?

think you need to be connected to download the demo games, like fifa10 and pes10.

you can download demos without having to pay for xbox live gold but ith new demo's you have to wait a couple of weeks, because they are available to gold members first, you can put your home photos on there but i don't know about home videos

When you say "connected" do you mean I can just plug in an ethernet lead?

Yes, you can pop in an ethernet lead, sign up for a free Xbox Live silver account and download a large variety of demos.

You can put photos and videos on the Xbox hard drive although you'll need to ensure the videos are a compatible format, it's also possible for the 360 to stream video from a host PC through media sharing.

Thanks John. Will have a look later.
Bit of a pain as I only want to download a demo every now and then.

We have just found a few demo's on the machine, do they come pre installed, as I don't think I have connected it to the internet before, although I may have when we 1st got it?

I'm sure I tried MP4's and Jpegs, but didn't see an option to copy.

Streaming is a bit beyond me.

Yep, some of the demo's come preinstalled with the machine.

I may be wrong on the copying part then, as I prefer to keep the drivespace for games I stick with streaming.
