HELP needed please,
my son x-box has come up with error 74, and says * contact x-box support *
any ideas please, thanks teresa

E74: AV cable error... There is a problem with the AV cable, try using a different AV cable. If the cable is known to be working then there is a 90% chance it's a scaler chip problem (the "ANA" or "HANA" chip connected directly to the AV cable) in rare cases it is the GPU. Then you hope its in warranty!

First check cable is not faulty or just come loose (Xbox to tv cable)
If the cable is ok then as long as you have not had the 360 more than "3 years" MS will fix it for free and that includes collecting and delivering to your door.
The only thing that would be a problem is if you bought it secondhand and someone else registered it online but even so if you know that person they could have it fixed.

Just follow the lead that you have plugged into your TV back to the xbox 360 and that will be the one


Thanks very much for your help we tried the wires and they where ok. after talking to x-box we had to send it off to Germany for repair (free),so am awaiting its return, thanks again Teresa and Josh
