you have two options:

ethernet cable - you get good connection but the downside is you will have a wire running through your house
microsoft wireless adapter - no wires, no mess but a hefty price tag and variable connection

if you dont mind the ethernet cable then it works out much cheaper and you can connect it straight to your router. i personally have the wireless adapter and it is much nicer but the connection comes and goes. it all depends on you

3 choices
1. ethernet wire from box to xbox (20 metres needed)
2. wireless (either the microsoft adaptor or a wireless network amplifier thingy)
3.. homeplugs

home plugs / ethernet are the best hance for high speeds

+1 for the homeplugs.

I've been using them with my 360 and apple tv for a few years now with no problems at all.

i would get the 200mbps version and from a decent manufacturer ... should be about £60-£70 on ebuyer

I use the ones from Devolo. I can't find my exact one for some reason, but THIS is pretty similar.

EDIT, mine is this one
