Everytime I turn on my Xbox 360 (20gb premium), the normal bootup animation starts. but heres the problem, it never actually loads to the dashboard. instead, it keeps restarting and showing the bootup animation over and over and over again. The green lights on the ring go round and round. I read somewhere that it might be because my hard-drive isn't connected properly but I tried taking it off and putting it back on but that still doesn't work. I did flash it with ixtreme 1.41 but it was working before. I am using Component not HDMI. Does anyone know whats wrong?

seen this

I installed the Talismoon Whisper Fan, it was quite simple. I put my 360 back together and plugged it in to play a game. The 360 "x-ball" logo comes up as if it's going to load and go into the dashboard, but then suddenly restarts. It just keeps restarting and never goes into the dashboard.

I pulled the whisper fan out, installed my original again, and I still get the restart problems.

Anyone know what the deal is?

I seem to figure out the problems before anyone ever responds.

In this case, it's just a coincedence that I installed the fan and the dash wouldn't boot. The problem is that the hard drive
doesn't seat all the way in the slot, so I have to take the 360 apart again and make sure that side of the 360 is moved over or up as far as it can go.

It's weird, if I take the HDD out and boot I get no picture or signal on the screen, will try opening it again.

sure you didnt knock any capacitors while moving the dvd drive around during the flash?

appart from that, take the faceplate off and turn it on with a pen lid or something, see if it still does it then as the power button of the faceplate may be pushing on it all the time..

if you have a standard AV lead, use that, it may be when it's trying to set the resolution for the dashboard that the problem is occuring, only way to reset that is using a standard lead which the box will detect and set at 480 for the normal tv you plug it in to.

dont have anything else connected, no hard drive, no internet etc.

Took it apart and put it back together and it works now, I must have done something wrong the last time, phew!
