XBOX 360, SONY PS3 & Nintendo Wii games that were great, but didn't sell well...

rimz790rimz790

Come on guys, lets get you all to list your top picks for 360, PS3 and Wii games that were great but didn't sell well, due to certain games/franchises/genres dominating the market for e.g. Rayman Origins...to name a few. But people bought due to word of mouth friends, family, games forums etc.

Few days ago I completed Lost Odyssey and within the last few months completed Vanquish, Enslaved, Bulletstorm and they were all great games and from what I can gather they didn't sell too well as expected.

A lot of bad press about star wars force unleashed 1 + 2 but I thought they were great.

All check out Fez on Xbox live, awesome game.

    They sold great though :|

    Where to begin....

Singularity and Enslaved for a start were flops but very good imo.

The Saboteur gets my vote. Closely followed by Bulletstorm.

    Blur / Split second

Deadly Premonition, sadly it never even got a western release on the PS3. I guess Yakuza 3 and 4 didn't sell too well, they were never chart hits anyway.

I agree with all three of those comments and add Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom.

(I've still to play the Yakuza games though)

Bullet storm for me, the best game I've played for years and do much fun

    Def needs a sequel

One of the best 5 squids I've spent but the sequel looks unlikely.
The developers are making the next Gears game though :)

Mirrors Edge. Best £3 I ever spent.

Bulletstorm was good fun, defo. I enjoyed Yakuza 4 too but can see why it's not to everyones (particulalry European) taste

What about Darksiders ? I seem to be the only person I know who played that (and loved it)

Great game, done alright, getting a sequel.
If the sequel flops, THQ are ****ed

Enslaved is easily one of the best games for story I've ever played.

Both are great games. Saboteur is very similar in game play to Mercs 2 (same developer) and Mercs 2 was overlooked mainly because of its faults probably but if you look past them then you will find a game with a lot of depth which is actually more fun than Just Cause 2 due to more factions, stealth capabilities and better weapons/vehicles.

Alan Wake, i heard it didn't sell well ?

I think its one of the greatest 360 games available, the atmosphere, gameplay, story.

American Nightmare was a bit of a dissapointment, can't wait for the Sequel though (To Alan Wake, not American Nightmare :P)

Mafia 2 aswell, thought it was really good, hope it gets a sequel

Both Platinum Games epics Bayonetta and Vanquish were gems lost in the mire of big releases, but both are stunning.

Hannah Montana: The Movie Video Game was really good but didn't sell well for some strange reason.

Totally agree with you, story line wise was one of the best I have played also, along with good combat, gfx and animation. Loved the trip and monkey duo, pigsy was a laugh too

Completed Vanquish a few months ago and it was an absolute gem of a shooter! Will be starting either Bayonetta or Binary Domain next now that i have completed Lost Odyssey. Need to play a quick-fire game after playing a well paced game :p
