you can buy them from PC world and lots of other places, dont buy from ebay as they are third party ones. You want the offical one.

you know where your component connection from the xbox360 to your tv is. that is were the VGA cable goes

oh ok so its just a normal 360 cable with a vga connection at one end. Wheres the ceapest place to get them?

Is it worth it? I currently connect through component but read you need VGA to upscale DVDS onthe 360

Only get the VGA cable to upscale DVDs if you HDTV is not very good at upscaling the picture itself.

My TV is much better at upscalling the picture than the Xbox and so I use the component cable

I've read that as well but I'm not convinced - I run my Xbox through component and originally the DVD quality was horrible but since they released the upscaling update, the quality is far better. As my PCs have the vga port on my TV, I've been content to stick with component.

I find I get less screen tearing when using VGA rather than component on my Panasonic PX60. It's strange... I didn't get any screen tearing at all when playing on my Panasonic projector, but i'm aware that screen tearing is almost constantly mentioned in game reviews.

Havent tried this myself, and you can probably get a cable for as cheap, but some good info on the cable here:
