Is there anything I should Know about this service...such as how much Broadband Mb's it would use and do you need to be with Sky Broadband?

Any help would be really appreciated.

You dont need to be with sky BB, i'd say 2MBPS will be fine to view without any troubles.

Not a lot of info about at the min as it got launched on the 27th but crashed due to demand, dont know when it will be up but hopefully tmrw

Is the first month free by default? Or do we have to enter a code? i've seen pay for 2 months get 3rd free so would love to combine the 2 together so only have to pay 2 months for 4.

Long story short its a subscription service.

It allows you to have access to Sky Player on the xbox (Skys bbc iplayer-esq program for the pc) to watch on demand programmes. If you subscribe to sky, you get access to the on demand content from the sky packages you subscribe to.

To watch Live tv you need to have sky multiroom (£9.75) as part of your sky package. (and get access to everything you would normally have access too, like a 2nd sky box)

or you can pay to use the service (if you dont have a sky subscription)

"Non–Sky satellite customers will also require a monthly subscription which starts at £15 per month to Sky Player's Base Entertainment Pack. Customers who want to watch Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and Xtra, ESPN and the Sky Movies channels will be able to add these channels to their Base Entertainment Pack for an additional cost. In addition to the live channels, customers will also have access to on-demand programmes from channels they subscribe to.

"Existing Sky customers with Xbox Live Gold membership will be able to access Sky Player's on-demand content in line with the channels they are able to access through their core Sky TV subscription. Customers with Sky Multiroom or Sky Broadband Unlimited subscriptions are additionally able to access live channels for no extra charge."

Apparently:-D

pretty much that. though when you sign up via the xbox website it gives you a months free code for sky player.

When it works it has been great. you can get all the sports channels, sky news, gold some movie channels and loads of other arts channels to view live.

the on demand content so far is pants especially for sky 1, its all justin lee collins and phil mitchell. no drama only reality and gameshow stuff.

oh and its dead easy, I downloaded the stuff on the xbox dashboard first then signed up via this link http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/skyplayer/

that'll take you through the whole thing, dead easy.

I'm just using it now for the first time. I have the sky packages so dont need to pay extra. It's great. There's hundreds of movies. You just find the one you want to watch, click play and away you go.
