XBOX 360 Wireless Controller Charger?

Hi All! (Sorry for the two threads so soon)

I bought a 360 not too long ago and the first set of batteries in the wireless controller seemed to last AGES but now I seem to be lucky to get a weeks use. So I'm looking for the cheapest charger 'solution' but I'm not entirely sure what I need to buy... do you really need to buy BOTH the:

Xbox 360 rechargeable battery pack
AND
Xbox 360 play & charge kit

Which comes in at £22? Is there a cheaper way?

Any answers would be appreciated,

Thanks!

the play and charge kit includes a battery!

but imho if you are going to use a play and charge kit, you may aswell use a wired controller.

If you dont mind using up a wall socket, I'd recommend a Quick Charge kit, which can charge 2 batteries at the same time (also includes one battery)

Hah Whoops, nearly made a stupid mistake, didn't notice the massive battery in the picture :p

I'll probably go for that wall charger one then, thanks!

Totally agree - or just use high capacity rechargeable AA bateries. Only down side is MS have very slightly recuded the size of the battery holder which makes batteries more difficult to get in and out......

officially "less than 2 hours for one battery and less than 4 hours for 2 at a time"

I've never timed them myself, but once the light turns green, they're ready
