I went for 2 x 4 packs of Aldi rechargeable AA batteries; 4 kept on the charger and four in the controllers - keep swapping them round (every couple of days), no problems and much cheaper! :whistling:

These are BRILLIANT

I got one, and my batteries last AGES, and they hold their charge over many cycles, so he wouldn't need anything again for ages. My rechargeable Microsoft Xbox battery packs gradually startedto lose their charge.

These are ace. Could be cheaper elsewhere but they work well and they look really cool on a desk (quite neat and glow). Might make a nice prezzie...

The official wired controller's (17.99 from Play) are brilliant and you can use them on a PC if it takes your fancy
