Get a wii and wii play. Some of the nintendo consoles have FPS where you shoot characters but not humans and theres no blood and gore,

Cant think of any on 360. Though she would probably love viva pinata.

Mirrors Edge is coming out, i think november 7th or 14th

Heres some info about it:http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/mirrorsedge/news.html?sid=6186993&mode=previews

Basically it comes out on 360/PS3/PC and its about running around some futuristic city in first person, and it has no guns

Or theres Oblivion and Assassin's Creed - not sure if they're exactly child friendly but they're first person and have no guns

Actually there seems to be guns in mirrors edge although their use seems to be optional/limited

"US, August 20, 2008 - Mirror's Edge is the kind of game that might frighten some people because it has this crazy quality of being original. It's a game in the first-person perspective, but the only bit of display on the screen is a single dot in the center. There are guns, but the point of the game isn't to collect them and shoot other people. Think of it like a platformer if you want. This game is all about momentum and skilled jumps."

 forgot about all the stabbing, but i couldve sworn oblivion was 1st person though - or i think you can chose between 1st and 3rd

Assassin's Creed is 3rd Person btw.

Only one I can think of is the Half-Life 2 add-on game Portal which is great and a puzzle game.

There was the Greg Hasting's Tournament Paintball on the original xbox it's not exactly without guns but it's not killing?
#16
Like others have said Mirrors edge seems to fit the bill
#17
Portal is a much better choice IMO, no guns or violence just a physics puzzle game, great for lateral thinking. IMO

Might be a bit too much thinking for a 6 year old?

Mate, when my GF was playing it was the most frustrating thing in the world to watch without just telling her exactly what to do

it is a 3rd person platformer.

As someone said, Oblivion has a FP mode and if she ignores the quests then she can have fun exploring the world and never have to kill anything.
