I have 3 out of 5 gold stars next to my gamertag. What do these mean? What makes them increase or decrease?

its your feedback people leave feedback e.g you play a whole match online someone may leave good feedback, Or you leave a game cause you are losing or shout your mouth off online you may get bad feedback whick reflect you stars...

Hope this helps

yup what he said.
to be honest mines barely changed in ages!

56% preferred me
and 44% didn't due to trash talk (that'll be my impressions of the whiney american kids then) and unsporting conduct ( when i used to play GOW and used the chainsaw)

Makes me laugh

How do you get the percentages?

Look it up on your rep! Press the middle button, press A on your name square at the top then go down to "view rep", it shows you there why people have avoided you!!

EDIT : Have you not long started using live? You only start with 3 out of 5 stars! It then increases when people prefer you as a player!

also if u enjoyed playin a game with someone, give them good feedback and i think it increases your chances of playing them again. giving someone bad feedback increases your chances of not playing them again. (for me thats most americans)

since i got pgr4 my percentage went down 20%. i noticed id win races and people would give bad feedback.

Just asked my hubby and he said it's to do with the more games that you play and the achievements that you unlock along the way.....this apparently adds to your gamerscore/stars. Hope that helps :).

I got bad feedback for t***ing people with chairs in WWE and decking the ref, I aloso got bad feedback for killing people on COD3 when there doing poins matches, which really pee me off. i used one of my 4 (free month with each) gamertags to just annoy people on COD3 team killing and what not stupid people that do points matches, I think I'm avoided by about 75% of people I played.

Thats a good thing that your chances decrease of playing with someone you avoided as you have avoided them for a reason! Normally when i play my game i avoid loads of people cuz they quit early cuz they cant hack loosing!
That score then does not affect their leader board! Which is wrong because they can quit seconds before the game ends and they wont go down!!

the star system is flawed and worthless. If you win 5-1 on pro ev and have a wee bit of banter they give neg feedback so you cant win so i would not worry about it.

Getting the achievements only increases your gamerscore not your stars!
The stars are your reputation like the red and orange circles on here!

Nooo don't shoot the messenger! I don't play it - so am clueless. Apparently it's a combo of that and as you put it Kelly, similar to rep here - the more you help the more you earn...or not :).

The stars don't actually reflect how much people like you, I once gave someone with 3 stars bad rep and they went up to 5 stars! I think it just reflects how accurate their rating is...basically how much good/bad rep they've had.

I've been thinking about setting up a HUKD 360 widows club myself :) My friends and I already have one (especially since the new COD4 maps came out) - extra girlie nights out - hurrah!!!! I wonder if anyone else has the same :whistling:.

Do you get in front of your partners TV on purpose when he's on the Xbox as my wife does. Any house work around the TV area waits until I'm on the Xbox I'm sure of it

Too right ;-) all of a sudden I find the LCD screen has a mark on it that I just can't bear any longer :giggle:......however, sometimes if it keeps him entertained and i've got other things to do, places to see, people to meet...... (as before :whistling:) then i'm :-D for him to carry on...
