What do you want to be able to do with the pc?
#4
it'd be for gaming and general use.

pc.. just think of all the downloading you can do.. all the freeware games.. all the emulation.. alll the pirates .. alll pretty lights you can stick inside of it.

im not a console fan can you tell?

plus a pc is always upgradeable when consoles fizzle out.

ohh n all the mods!

the best bet would be to get a pc, its so much more customisable and you can make it unique ......

using ebuyer and scan, for £300 you can get a pretty good system, might be able to pick up a quad core for that price .......

if ya need help choosing bits etc just holler

only thing I like about ps3 (consoles in general) is there is no minimum spec (which mean unplayable) and will just work rather than have flaws come up because of a unique configuration. I have both (pc and ps3) so I am happy :)

thats a dual core 2.4 ghz, 3gb of ram and 500GB hd for £260

you could get a better mobo though

it has a 9500 GT graphics 512mb

this pc won't play cryis on max but will play most others

im sure someone will say the cpu is trash but i played halo with my 2.4 dual core with 3gb of ram

no need to go quad at the right moment cos nothing utilises all four cores

Ud have to spend more than £300 for a good gaming PC.

Im presuming you want to play newly released games? I mean a fairly decent gfx card would set you back £140-150.

Depends on what you want. I built my own PC not long ago, then sold it about 6 months later. The reason? Well it was mainly due to updates, downloading new software all the time, modding it etc.... in which I did not have the time to mess about with it. In the end I bought a 360 and for the price you cannot complain and its easy to setup.

Up to you, just bear in mind you will spend 2-3 days adjusting the settings on your PC. Also the person who listed the parts from ebuyer missed some extra things like psu (£50 - need a good one), dvd drive etc.... plus the MB is ****. Trust me £300-£400 will get you a poor gaming PC. You would need to spend about £450+ for a decent one and bear in mind that would go out of date quickly. Most importantly do you know how to build a PC, though its not hard to build it, it is hard getting the maximum capabilities out of it
