What do you guys know / think about these:
popular auction site Item number: 110500835910
They are bulbs that you replace your standard ones with to have the effects of HID lights.
I just want the blue light colour because it looks cool and these are really cheap.
Are they safe and road legal etc?
I know they may be crap but for £6 ish its not much risk. Im just wondering because Ive never heard of them before and thought they might be worth a try.
what are your thoughts?
thanks

so what are the bulbs like if theyre just painted blue? are they just normal but give off blue light because thats all Im after? Or are they dimmer or something and unsafe?

Get some Philips Diamondvisions, have a slightly blue tint.

The best ones out there though with great reviews.

because they are painted blue you dont get enough light through them to see, so totally pointless

You could get matching led for your washer jets, now that would look really cool! (do you drive a corsa?)

yes i do

the diamondvision seems to be around £30 but blue vision is much cheaper at £10 ish .
You say a slight blue tint is it much to justify £30 and how does blue vision compare?
Also, after some research it seems diamond vision is not legal in the uk so i guess thats out.

100 watts are illegal for road use, and will fail the mot, yes they will notice

they are cheap for £6, i have a nissan primera se+ which has xenon lights which cost £150 each from nissan dealers, halfords or other shops don't sell them, and are very hard to find, they came with the car when purchased did not realise, i thought i had a ferrari with light bulbs that expensive :w00t:

Agreed. Don't bother, waste of time...Paint limits the light emitted and after a short while, because of the heat and light, it disintigrates the paint...if the £6 bulb doesn't go first!
