My little girl loved her chicco baby walker at that age (which is a sit in walker) or a Vtech push along walker she really likes. Hope this helps

well my little one has always been very grown up for her age, but i got my little one a tefal kitchen with all the bits and food with it for her 1st birthday, but as i said it depends on how grown up she is, if thats too grown up you could get her something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/images/B000EQGT00/sr=8-4/qid=1227476172/ref=dp_image_0/278-2662059-8173606?ie=UTF8&n=468292&s=toys&qid=1227476172&sr=8-4 as it really gets their imagination going

My son is 11 months old and he gets bored of all his toys very quickly. As it's your baby's first christmas, why not get something personal instead. A christmas book with her starring in it or an engraved photoframe. Something she can treasue for years to come.

I too have a mid Jan baby who like yours was 11mths last December 07. Christmas was tricky with a birthday just around the corner but we got for her some of the Vtech Smartville toys though I don't know if they do them anymore - they have animals that interact with the play set but can also be played with independantly. She loves them still! Amazon sell a few of the sets. There are lots of great ideas on the Vtech or Tomy websites. Things with lots of music, lights and buttons to press is what my daughter loves. Perhaps even a sit on/ride on toy or a toddle truck with blocks to help support her when she is learning to walk/walking. HTH

A Wheelybug. My daughter got one when she was 10 months old, as well as my then 4½yr old, now 3 years later they are still the most played with toys and are as new. Would also make a great "hand-me-down" item that they could give to their children as they're timeless. After we got ours, any friends that have seen them have had to buy them for their children and they are all played with just as much - HIGHLY recommended.

im not sure if the photo is real or photoshopped..i found it on the internet and i know there was alot of speculation about it. Alot of people say babies cant do it but my mum told me when she was pregnant with my brother he used to stick his foot out this far and she used to hold it. unfortunately my daughter was surrounded by too much mummy eating chocolate fat to be able to do this..lol!

hi, i again would recommend the little people stuff. We bought the farm, the house, the bus and the garage for our 1st daughters 1st birthday. She is now 4 & still plays with them & my other daughter is 2 & loves them.
Built to last! Great toys!

Someone bought that Elefun game for my seven year old but my little baby also loves it when the butterflies pop out. Eats batteries tho! Elmo live is what I have got for her this year.

Would also rec little people, had them for seven years and they look brand new. The most played with toy in our house is a big sack of coloured wooden blocks think we got them in toys r us.
