Warranty is voided if the sticker has been broken and they won't repair it.

It's the first thing they check. It will be sent back to you once you pay for all postage costs (both ways).

Used to be that nine out of ten machines were just tossed on the parts pile and a new refurb machine was sent out and you could return anything.

Now they are starting to repair your own machine they are starting to send them back unrepaired with a note if the sticker has been tampered with.

It is still hit and miss at the moment - some opened machines still get replaced - but I can see as they get over the hump of returns almost all will be checked.

Oh, and they don't make you pay postage either way (based on another forum where about 10 have been returned unfixed).

One of my mates sent a Extreme 360 to them and when they got it they rang him and demand £24 to cover carriage both ways for wasting their time otherwise it will be skipped, he ignored it and never saw his 360 again.

to repair a console MS will open the console and tamper the sticker right?

So do they then put on a new sticker after the repair????? :?

Otherwise could you state that it has been previously repaired by MS and thus the tampered sticker?
